Welcome to the Prompting post! As we’ve said in the Introduction & Guidelines post, this round of kaifectionery will continue to be a fic fest. For those who are unsure what a fic fest is, it’s basically where fans—new and old alike—leave as many prompts and ideas as they want. Writers, in turn, will be able to see these prompts and ideas and if they see one that screams out to them “hey, you’re wonderful, please write me” then they’re going to be able to claim your beauty and write a story about it!

Summary: Coffee shop!au. Songwriter Chanyeol has a crush on the part-time barista who works in the cafe across the road from his apartment.
Author's Note: Much love and thanks to the Mods for their outstanding kindness! A shoutout to my sprint buddies for keeping me company during the writing of this fic. I could not have finished this without you! To the prompter, I think this may have turned out fluffier than you wanted but I hope you like it, anyway! The lyrics that appear in the final scene of the fic are “borrowed” from Amy Ray’s Lung of Love.

Summary: The problem with Kris is that he cannot say no to his assistant, Kim Jongin. Not even to coffee, and Kris despises coffee. One day, Kris dreading the regular schedule when Jongin knocks on his door, bringing him his usual afternoon beverage on a tray. But instead is surprised with something else entirely.
Author's Note: Thanks to the sweet and sour mods at the kaifectionary fest who allowed me to sign up a week before the original closing date in December, and also to extend the deadline for another week. And thanks to my friend, who recommended that I try this fest, as she was already very involved in her story (now stories) in this kaifectionary. She sees my ideas and then a large failure to finish anything. You should read her stories as well....
This story is a number of firsts, my first ever pairing using, Kris and Jongin together, actually having Kris and Jongin as the leads in a story, first ever festival with a real deadline (feeling a little adultish), first time submitting a piece of writing in over three years, first time completing a story in over three years (hence the hiatus).

Author's Note: The space facts I used are from space-facts.com and I had so much fun embedding them into the story. Also, it’s one of my first times taking part in a fanfiction festival and I just want to thank the mods again for their hard work and all the effort they put into making this such a wonderful experience!
